Autostrade per l’Italia S.p.A., concessionaire of the largest motorway network in Italy, has signed the contract for the implementation of the DKV BOX ITALIA for digital settlement of the toll for trucks over 3.5 tonnes.

With a road network of over 3,000 km, Autostrade per l’Italia operates more than half of the toll-based motorways in Italy. The signing of this contract opens the way to DKV Euro Service becoming a toll service provider certified by the Italian Association for Motorway and Tunnel Concessionaires (AISCAT). DKV BOX EUROPE is also to be approved in the near future.

“This is an important milestone in the history of our company,” says Jérôme Lejeune, Managing Director Toll at DKV Euro Service. “We are very pleased that, thanks to Autostrade per l’Italia, we have taken an extremely important first step towards offering our customers our own box to settle the Italian toll for trucks over 3.5 tonnes.”

Roberto Tomasi, CEO of Autostrade per l’Italia, adds: “DKV Euro Service is an important strategic partner for the development of digital services on our network, which we manage by promoting competition between the best market players. We are looking forward to a successful cooperation.” The Italian toll stations concerned have been upgraded with the necessary soft- and hardware especially for this purpose. Special toll lanes show the driver in which lane the DKV BOX ITALIA can be used.
